titanfall review logo

Guns, jet packs , wall running and giant robots. What more could you want in a video game... Virtual beer and boobs! Well unfortunately not in this one . They all can't be winners but titanfall is most certainly a winner....if you have the internet.... If you don't , then I'm sorry for your loss... A very good and structured 1st of its kind game.

I've seen mechs become popular over the years ... Mech assault on the original Xbox was what caught my interest all those years ago...since then mechs have found themselves becoming more popular and getting an upgrade each time. Lost planet ... Halo even names one after an insect! The fact it's online only really does hold the game back in regards to real expectation. Because a single player would of been the icing on the cake for me. I still enjoyed it and still do to this day , although it's a conveyer belt experience now.

You only have a handful of things to do on it regarding online. Attrition : Your typical pvp mode ...kill to get points and get that titanfall countdown to end quicker, so the fun can really begin. Nothing beats a boxing match between two Titans half way though a game of attrition.

Hard point : Or " headquarters " 2 teams 3 points to keep as your own the longer they are yours the more points you get ...you win.

Last Titan standing : Well the name speaks for it self.

Capture the flag : Steal the enemy flag and return it to your base, while stopping the enemy team from grabbing your flag ...duh!

Pilot hunter : Hunt or be hunted! Kill the enemy team's Pilots to reach the score limit and win ...killing grunts "NPCS" won't do shit !

Variety : Randomly selected of the above game modes. By now the game and season pass will be pretty cheap, so if your new to titanfall I would defiantly give it a go. It's fun to play with mates ...

Two people in Titans working together puts you at a better advantage depending on your communication skills. Recently the sequel has been announced and its jumping to all platforms as previously It's was an Xbox one exclusive , smart move Respawn it's due out in early 2017. Let's hope for a single player...then a film , my bets on Michael bay directing it , if it ever came to play ...EXPLOSIONS and ROBOTS... Sorry MECHS. The Titan cards idea which are pretty much little boosts that help you in game is cool and original...then halo 5 pretty much stole that concept 😐

But it really does work in this game, You can only assign 3 at a time and if there are any you don't like or are not likely to use to can get rid. The ranking system or rank chips are different and it's completely optional to do. You start on bronze and have tiers like sub levels , once all tiers are completed you upgrade to silver then gold , platinum and finally diamond.

It's all based on in game performance rather than exp building Which is rather good. Here's a good example .... If your shit...you will stay on a shit rank like bronze or silver at a push! I only ever made it to platinum tier V or for the uneducated tier 5.

So I think I did okay ! So in conclusion this earth shaking , fast pace, wall running, neck breaking, jet packing Son of a gun...I give it a 6.5/7 out of 10 and it doesn't feel like a call of duty game when your playing as a pilot. Great stuff !!! Bring on the sequel ...
